Well, yeah, they do go on a bit with some guitar wankery, but I kinda like it, most bands that do that make their music terrible, but they seem to be able to pull if off.

And about IM, you can pretty much find any song you want on youtube, but if you ever get the cash, albums you should get by them in following order (I'm assuming you'll like their more prog stuff more than anything)

The only thing about DT that ever gets under my skin is how almost every song this decade seems to feel the need to go on an endless tirade guitar/keyboard twiddly-twanging. It's disrupted the flow of several songs before, like it seems to do in the second half of A Rite Of Passage.

I like what I've heard from Iron Maiden, never really had the money to explore their discography though.

I'm more of a metalhead, hence why I prefer their metalish material, first band that got me into metal was Iron Maiden, and they're still my favorite band >>

I find it shameful they tend to get a lot of internet hate (Several forums I go to consider it crap ) But still, I like DT. Not in my top 5 bands, but they still get a decent amount of listening.

My friend introduced me to their stuff when Systematic Chaos was released. Now the majority of my iTunes library is prog rock/metal music.

Its alright, but I've seen better from them, hence the 7/10 rating. Train of Thought is the most "Metal" of their albums, so its probably why its my favorite by them.

However, I've only given it a couple of spins, I'm sure this album will grow on me a bit more as time goes on (I'm that kind of person), but I'm glad to see someone else who knows about DT.

Now, just need the next Iron Maiden album to be freaking epic beyond belief... though...

In short, I love it. I'd put it right behind Images And Words and Six Degrees Of Inner Turbulence as my favorite album by them.

A Nightmare To Remember - Loved it after the first listen. The drums are epic. The melodies are epic. I like when Jordan comes crashing in with the main melodies.The middle section (that "beautiful agony" part) is absolutely fantastic. Only...

Yay, I <3 DT, or Dream Theater for those who don't know, a Prog Metal band (Prog rock never appealed to me that much, but Prog Metal is something I can get into =D ).

It was leaked a while back, but now its officially out. While I don't have the cash to buy the album... I've been listening to it on youtube, and, while definetely no "Train of Thought" or "Images and Words" (Their two best albums, tbqh), its still fairly good. 7/10, worth listening...
