The Unleashed Model with fur attatched? http://www.fistik.com/cem...ge/project/blur/sonic.jpg Lookit he's got fur on his belly. Would anybody accept this or would it fail miserably? Wait.....this was made in 2006???

(I tried looking through the search option to see if this has already been seen but I didn't find it. So i hope i'm not just bringing up old news)

That looks pretty cool. Much better than the plastic-shiny textures from Heroes. I am down with it really.

But he has too much fur.

Fur on the belly, arms, legs, and tail I could see, but why on his head and back? Hedgehog don't have any fur on their spines and should have a dull shine.

Not that Sonic was ever biologically correct, but these things bug me.

I like fur. But maybe this is too long. If it were just a tad shorter I'd totally go for it. But I think this was an early Unleashed Model that didn't make the cut. Sooo we'll probably never see this in a game.

Sonic is abstract and should look cartoony and drawn.

I always figured Sonic had a peach-fuzz texture anyway. At least in Unleashed where the cutscenes are such high quality. I just dn't like it when he's over the top sqeaky shiny.

I cant understand why his belly has fur. Surely that should be like his muzzle and arms?

I kinda want to cuddle him though.

Real hedgehogs have a fine, thin fur on their bellies. I always considered his arms muzzle and stomach to have a thin peachish fur on it, because it being skin just seems stupid. XD

Ever since Shadow, when they started putting fur on the high res pictures, I've thought it was kind of ugly, but given the graphical upgrades and everything, it felt like a correct progression, so never bothered to be upset about it.

I just kind of always thought the yellow parts were, well like tummy and face. Not furry at all.

I think it would look better with fur on his muzzle and arms then because at the moment it looks a bit odd.

I do want to see how Tails, Knuckles and Shadow look with the fur effect because at least there isn't much of a discussion there...

This honestly looks like one of the renders when Sonic is turning into the Werehog rather than actually being Sonic.

Since spines're congealed hair, a hair texture isn't totally inaccurate. But it should be smooth - not fluffy like a plushie.

Come to think of it... When was the last plushie release? Maybe we can blame the marketing department.

That's a bit too fluffy for Sonic. Having seen enough of Sonic Unleashed CGI cutscenes and Night of the Werehog in HD, you could sort of see shiny smooth sort of fur, but it wasn't fluffy. I'm not too sure about his muzzle/arms/belly, though, they just looked like skin.

I do like to image he has fur. Even if its not obvious. I can't stand it when he is all shiny and waxy.

I didn't really think of him as having fur, since he was all cartoony I didn't think it'd have to make sense.

Anyway, I prefer how he normally looks.

The fur just feels sort of awkward to me.
