Don't be hatin' cause the Snake man looks good with a mullet. BUT YES! GOOD GOD HAVE MERCY ON MY SOUL! SOLID SNAKE, WARIO, SUITLESS SAMUS! YES! Think of all the other characters they're not telling us about too. I mean, I know there's even more hidden characters. Imagine the possibilities. Maybe Liquid Snake or some other MGS character will show up. Also, if they keep the tradition of the costume changing at the character select screen, maybe Snake will be able to switch from his MGS, MGS2, and MGS3 uniforms. God that would be coool. I need to save up for this thing. Never been so amped about a system.

I am officially unable of having kids now. So my apologies to my future wife. Yea saw this on Wikipedia at school today. Netaknight has always appeared as a SSB character to me. Snake didn't, but after seeing the trailer he does. Yay. Then the fact that you can use the GC controller makes me yell. And Samus...is indeed a babe. *laughed at*

Lol :D Meh to Snake. Also Samus looks mad. Very Mad. This game needs Shadow more than Sonic. I just think 3 on Shadow will be great. Also it wouldn't look wierd for him to hold a Nintendo gun thing. ------

I stayed far enough away from the people making Sonic the Hedgehog 06 and look what happened there...
Anyways I actually there won't be Sonic characters in the game. Don't know why probably saving it for SSB:4. Just got a feeling. ------

I'm been creating a moveset for Snake for no reason.
Standing still A: Punch, punch, kick combo from MGS2. Walking A: Straight kick from MGS1. Running A: Dive attack. Smash Foward: Nikita melee attack (In MGS2, when you had the Nikita you could club people with it.) Up A: Headbutt. Smash Up A: Upwards shoulder ram. Down A: Crouching kick. Smash Down A: Elbow drop. B: Three handgun shots. Foward B: Nikita Rocket Launcher, with missle-guiding ala Ness's PK Thunder. Down B: Lay a claymore. Up B: I still have no idea what to put here. Guard: Cardboard box. Roll: Two quick steps with the box. Excerpt from Jade Empire Sir Roderick: And leave you lot to your primitive ways? Tell them what I think of that, Squire Percival. Percival: Sir Roderick Ponce Von Fontlebottom the Magnificient Bastard will do no such thing. He means to educate you all. |

For UP B, Snake would borrow The Fury's jetpack.

If Snake fights Link and Young Link, and kills the latter, how long will it take before Campbell starts lecturing him on creating a time paradox?

Holy crap holy crap holy crap....
I prefer the greener Link, but still. TWILIGHT PRINCESS SEXINESS. WARIO AWESOMENESS. Don't know much about Snake, but it's gotta be a good thing if everybody's hyped about it. And METAKNIGHT <3 I'll get the game for gameplay, I promise. >> **hides eyecandy** ~Shadowed Spirit Sage |

When I first heard about the new SSB, my friend had IMed me and told me about it, and I was jumping for joy. Then he told me Snake was in it. I told you you don't joke about things like that, I really thought the game was coming out. Well, I saw the news on multiple sites, and realized he was serious. Freaking INSANE.
It's funny, me and my friend were considering the move list for Snake, and came to the same conclusion about the moves, basically, using CQC moves and the weapons, except we left out the Melee with the Nikita (But did agree on Nikita control, like Ness), and I thought that there would be a strong, one shot attack with B, maybe a Socom, or a PSG-1, and another attack would be a less powerful, rapid fire attack, such as the FAMAS. Also, we were undecided over if they would use a Claymore, and be like the mine weapon, or a C4 that you can detonate yourself. I'm also slightly worried about the inclusion of Zero Suit Samus, just because the Samus in the first two SSBs was one of my favorite characters, I wouldn't want her replaced. Then again, there is Link/Young Link, Mario/Dr. Mario, so who knows. I knew I was getting a Wii since it was announced as the Revolution, but really, this is great. Too bad it's not a launch title anymore... Normal People Scare Me... |

Well, SSBM had Link and YOUNG Link. Ir's only logical to assume the same applies to Samus and Zero Suit.

Which is why I used that example, no? My problem with that as an example, though, is that Young Link was an unlockable, and not only that, but a clone. I don't want that to be the same with Samus. It's a cheap way of boosting up the characters in the game, and doesn't reflect well on the series when you have characters with the EXACT same move sets. (Pikachu/Pichu, Mario/Dr. Mario/Luigi (Sort of), Roy/Marth, Captain Falcon/Ganondorf...)

Well, if you say the trailer, you saw ZS-Samus slash at Pit. So she'll probably have some laser sword moves.

Uh, you guys might want to scan that video again. That energy weapon of hers is most definitely NOT a sword per se, but a whip or sword/whip combo. She wields it as one, anyway.
EDIT: Which begs the question... |

Well, when I first saw the trailer, I thought the blur was due to the speed of the light sword or whatever you want to call it.
And X_X @ Samus = Ivy. |

On to other things, I believe that castle in the trailer is part of Fire Emblem? From what I've heard, it bears a resembelence to Daein Castle from FE9. Supposely the flag inside the castle interior is the flag of that castle. I really don't know, since I never played Fire Emblem 9. However, this would seem to raise chances for Ike. However, I prefer Eliwood or Ephraim.
EDIT: On the subject of Snake... "Since Snake will be in Smash Bros. I'm going to be making new stages for him to have fun in the game." So unlike Marth and Roy in Super Smash Bros. Melee, Snake will actually have his own stage to call home in the new title!" http://www.blog.konami.jp/gs/hideoblog_e/2006/05/001664.html More Kojima. Hmm... None of the environments in MGS1/2 are vertical enough for a good level. Maybe the helipad from Big Shell with lots of boxes.
I hope "Cry Dead Cell" is the music for his level. ![]() |

The best ideas for a Snake stage would be atop Metal Gear or the VR training world.
I can't really get an accurate picture of Snake in the game, though. Until I can invision a B+Up attack, he's just a cameo to me. |

I can see a Snake level in Adventure mode being something like infiltrating Outer Heaven, and defeating Metal Gear at the end, that would be cool. Dunno about a multiplayer stage though, On top of Metal Gear seems like the best idea.
