And the metal gear is firing nukes off into the distance and fighting someone down the stage, on the floor. If Snake is in the match, Metal Gear'll be fighting Snake. If he isn't, it'll be Raiden down there.

I'd just assume they'd adapt the Arsenal Gear final area. A flat stage with some generic floating platforms that appear and disappear at random. And as THS mentions, having a Metal Gear(s) (Ray, I suppose) firing the occasional volley of missiles onto the stage would be all kinds of awesome and appropriateness.

All Snake-itude aside, if they're adding another Pokemon to this game (LOL if) It MUST be Snorlax.
Although I'll settle fro Blaziken because even though he's totally useless his character design is totally bitchin'. Tool.

THS didn't mention that, I did. Although it's not the first time we've been mixed up.

You guys show great resilience. Where other internet topics for this game have devolved into "OMG I WANT TO PLAY XXX ROFL" due to the Snake annoucement, the lot of you have stayed the course and kept the fanboy/fangirl (hi Sage) -yiness down to a pretty respectable minimum.
WHAT THE HELL IS THE MATTER WITH YOU PEOPLE! I mean, c'mon! Don't tell me you don't want to speculate who else gets the Snake treatment? A rare opportunity has made itself available. Before, the roster was relegated to the Nintendo first party stable of mascot characters. Now, the doors have been flung open and Sakurai-sensei's the one with the key. It's time to drown ourselves in our own drool and discuss the possibilities before us. Okay, okay... we've already have it in our minds that Sonic would make an ideal choice as a third party combatant in SSB:B. Now, let's pretend for the sake of argument that if the developers were only allowed to have one third party character from anyone who's made games for a Nintendo system past and present, who would be the one character most suitable to be tossed into SSB:B? A character that not only represents the best of what that company has to offer, but someone you'd also like to play as. Sonic's already been mentioned, so you can't use him. That represents the Sega camp. So no mentioning of other Sega characters is allowed now, so no Vyse (damn!), Beat, Sarah Bryant, Shinobi, Ristar or anyone else from the same camp. Konami also has its representative in Snake, so nothing from them either. Oh, and don't bring in non-Nintendo third parties into the mix. The Master Chief isn't leaving the Xbox anytime soon. To begin, I nominate good ol' Mega Man/Rockman from Capcom. Probably the most recognizable of all Capcom's mascot characters and probably the only one most people won't complain about being in SSB:B (fighting purists would have a heart attack if Ryu or Ken were used!). I don't have any move sets in mind, but I suppose they could just borrow whatever's available from the Marvel Vs. Capcom series. "That's the stuff! Hosting!" |

Psx, I nominate Master Chief anyways. Bite me.
B: Grenade throw. There's a random chance it will be a Plasma Grenade instead of a frag. OR Takes out a random Halo weapon (excluding Rockets, Fuel Rods, Sniper, or Energy sword) and fires continuously; aim with control stick once he starts firing. Foward B: Rocket Launcher with slight homing; homes in on larger characters stronger. OR Throws a Plasma Nade. Up B: Uppercut slash with Energy Sword Down B: Crouches and fires Sniper Rifle; continue holding B and aim with Control Stick. ![]() |

Hmm...other companies characters....
Well, ignoring what others have said, my personal choices would be: Capcom: Viewtiful Joe, simply because he suits the style perfectly, none better out there. Namco: Sophitia, since Link was in Soul Calibur, have her since she would be the equal trade. ^_^ Tecmo: Kasumi, the Pangya version. SNK: One of the Metal Slug characters, Fio or Marco. Sqyare Enix: Erm....a lot of choice....maybe Tifa since she's a fighter....or Sabin....or Shadow.....or Zell...VIVI!!!! Erm....can't remember anyone outside of those companies that I love....I'll have to search. Anyway, I'm really excited by this game, I can't wait to see more of it and all the new and old characters it will feature! ^_^ Why not check my artwork at http://robobotnik.deviantart.com/

EA - John Madden...
He'd have an attack similar to Jigglypuff, boring the others to sleep with his commentary. |
