I mentioned this in the other topic, and I honestly can't believe the audacity of half the people on the board. Let me be the first to state that I hope
this is not archived because the behavior in that topic is low. I dunno about you, but I don't want that kind of rude behavior being put up on a
pedestal and praised as if the attitude is a good one to have.

I don't believe that anyone apart from Troy (now banned) was rude. People may have been "toying" with him with reponses that might be silly fun
and harmless (but also showed how silly and idiotic the situation troy has created was), but no one was directly feeding the troll. *see picture of british

i do not feel the slightest guilt for what went on in that thread and i honestly can believe the "audacity" of "half the people on the
board" (about twelve people posted in that thread, at most). i personally don't believe it's audacious to have some good fun at the expense of an
individual who deserved every letter of it. i also believe, like creo, that troy (rudie) was the only person in that thread who was rude as his behaviour was
unprovoked and grossly uncalled for.
but personal opinions shouldn't really matter here. if humor at the expense of others is against mofo policy and not just your own moral guidelines, then i would agree with not archiving this thread or endorsing it in any way. but if it is against mofo policy, why do we have so many injokes that arose from making fun of silly people? why, then, is matthew hayter's "amazing editorial" in the mofo classics? rudie's thread is not at all unprecedented.

Terg dear, Dubs was well aware of the goings on of the topic, as was Dr Lighthead himself. Both were ready and waiting to act IF the posting got out of hand.

Just because someone is an Admin doesn't mean that anything they do automatically has the seal of approval of the entire staff, nor does it mean that a topic didn't break rules. And Admins can make mistakes. Remember, Dubs has posted questionable things before that were funny, but later he was called on it and apologized and shut down the thread. So using "But a Mod/Admin was involved!" doesn't really justify it. But I have changed my mind about archiving it. It WILL be archived - in CJ's stomach. So it is written, so it was just done. So everyone should be happy now.
