Is that any worse than Princess Sally and the Freedom Fighters: featuring what's supposed to be Sonic the Hedgehog?

Yes. You may hate Sally. Thats ok. But do you realy want two girls fighting over Sonic in the exact same setting? Do you really want unwanted drama of the sort
only a teenybopper could appreciate?
The sonic/sally thing can be balanced. But the addition of Mina.... Its SatAM. And I think if there are to be additions. The most important ones should be Segaverse characters. Season 3 .... 6/1/08

If there is a remake, it may be hard to put Mina, or any other rival for Sonic, into the story without becoming a distraction. A love triangle could be
interesting to see, but it may or may not work because of the setting of SatAM. If this was a more light-hearted series like Underground or Sonic X then fine,
but here they are fighting a war and struggling to survive.
By the way, what does Dan Drazen think of all of this?

Uh, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Buttnik in Underground an evil dictator who has taken over the world and roboticize a lot of people like he is
in SatAM? And before a mod comes, you may want to take it easy on the relationship stuff as it seem like you might be getting dangerously close, and you
don't want a mod yelling at you do you?

Relationship stuff was banned? Oh dear. I didn't know.
I wonder if Drazen even knows about it yet. Season 3 .... 6/1/08

Yeah but I ignore this forum. Never come here. I only showed up when I found out about this possible revival.

He owned the planet politically AND financially. There was no real reason for him to.

I was particularly impressed with SU Robotnik. Since the aristocracy provided all of his funding, he left them alone, but all the commoners and resistance
members were sentenced to the roboticizer. It was almost like a callback to the pre-French Revolution era.

Good point Kayla, I forgot that SU Robotnick blackmailed the aristocrats into following him with being roboticized as punishment. Guess I was wrong about that
part of SU; bringing constant fear to an oppressed people is much more menacing than just roboticizing everyone. Sure, Robotnick would have a planet of
mindless slaves working for him, but leaving some panicking over how to appease him can be more satisfying.

Not to mention, SU made it feel like Robotnik really did have complete control over the planet, what with all the locations the triplets went to. It really
felt like Mobius was more than just a small village, a forest, and a city.

True. If you want to rule the world you kind of have to leave the population intact. In SatAM what was he going to do after he robotisized everyone? Just be
content? There would be no life left to serve him.
So this begs the question. Will the Freedom Fighters be traveling a lot? Knothole really can't be considered an adequete hiding place for an extended period of time the way it is now. In Sonic Underground, the siblings went all across mobius to connect with many underground rebel forces. There was a bounty on their heads so they always had to move around. And on a few instances minor characters were robotisized because they were helping them, supporting the notion that no one location was safe. Now that giant scooby-doo van also stuck out like a sore thumb but Sonia and Manic needed a means of transport as well I guess. SatAM's primary settings were Knothole, Robotropolis, and the Great Forest. Which is something current veiwers might critisize. In all fairness the Great Forest is just a Forest and Knothole isn't very well intergrated into it. It sits in a clearing where trees are cut away that any bot could just chance upon flying over. It was a big plothole that one never did. And the "wash, rinse, repeat" of only haveing 3 primary locations to work an episode around might get tedious. In mah mind, if knothole is going to come back as a major character/location then it needs to be redesigned so that it makes sense. In fact the entire forest should be. Have the huts built into the giant trees that can literally hold an entire village in its branches. The denser the tree growth the harder a steath-bot could see the huts and homes built in the arching and criss crossing branches. When Knothole sits in a CLEARING Anything could see it from the air. It makes no sense that a stealth-bot didn't follow Dulcy back to Knothole. My only other suggestion is that Knothole be underground. Season 3 .... 6/1/08

Why did'nt Robotnik just blow up the forest in the first place? Or start a large fire? Not very bright.

Because in SatAM, only the Freedom Fighters resort to terrorist action. Robotnik just tries to round them up the same way any anti-terrorist movement would:
expensive machinary, large weapons and an army 500 times bigger than that they fight.

Well, I'm not sure throwing a match or two hundred into the forest would be considered terrorism, no doubt Smokey would be pretty pissed though.

Before Robotnick, Mobotropolis had a lot of resources and 33rd century(?) technology to look after their well being. After the coup, the survivors in Knothole
were left with very little to start over. At that time Robotnick probably thought anyone he didn't enslave would eventually starve to death. Although
resisting him would put all of Knothole at risk, it's likely they did not have a choice with the whole world at his fingertips. Whatever they did, the
Great Forest couldn't keep them hidden forever and it's possible that they constantly struggled with problems like food, water, medical supplies,
pollution, etc. They'll have to be mobile or at least diplomatic with other groups to survive.
