Maybe somebody found out something they didn't like - The very fact that they say 'Do not PM MAX about this' implies that the blame is somewhere squarely at his feet. Suspicion and Mistrust are rife - just what caused ALL of this, I wonder?

I'm sure serious business drama will ensue, regardless of blame and suspicion and such.

I'd like to hear why this has happened, out of plain curiosity. If that doesn't happen, though, I doubt I'd really care. I'm not intrigued enough to actively search, especially as I didn't really care about the pitch in the first place and was more fascinated by the fan reactions.

Long ago, I've come to the conclusion there is no amount of Phoenix Down that can revive this show on TV. It's the freaking Internet, so fan projects are doable. Hell, Sega'd be cool with it as long as it isn't attempted for money, and probably just needs a "Can I do a fan project?" email for good measure.

For a time, Super Sonic Dance Rickroll'd half the typos' rising sun.

you know, i was thinking the same thing. if these individuals want it back so badly, then why not do a flash series? the conclusion i came to was that these people wanted to bring "back" satam and then hand it off to sega or whoever would be animating it and let it be.

Considering most people who attempt a SatAM revival's first action is to post on every Sonic forum that they're doing so; I would say attention-seeking is a pretty huge factor in that.

Well In Matt's case I think he only posted in the FUS. The news spread through fans. But even then I guess his true intentions really were to just get attention.

You know... honestly I have to agree that reviving SatAM is a lost cause.

Business reasons aside, the fine point is that there is already a Sonic cartoon out (Sonic X) that is pretty popular with kids today. To revive SatAM would be to repeat the nineties and have two different Sonic cartoons... which I don't think that would ever happen in this day and age. I'm not even sure I understand how or why that happened the FIRST time (gonna have to Wiki that), because most companies don't want to compete against themselves like that.

Honestly, I don't want SatAM back. Every other show that's been revived has been ruined in the process, and SatAM was already slipping since that awful second season. In all honesty, when I rewatch the two 90s Sonics today, I would actually rather have a revival of AoSTH than SatAM. But that's for another topic.

The bottom line is, the logistics are against it happening, and why you would WANT it to happen is beyond all comprehension. The Archie comics I can accept as a sort of continuation, and I'm happy with that.

I know I'll probably get shot for this, but I'd much rather see a conclusion to Sonic Underground more than a SatAM redux.

At least SatAM had a somewhat decent conclusion if you ignore the last minute or so of the last episode. Sonic Underground just stopped right in the middle with no hint of an ending in sight.

Depends on how SatAM is redone. I'd jump on a SatAM redux if it was handled like Transformers Animated.
