BHut i wonder will his name just be super scourge or somthing else like Supreme scourge (Since he's a king) Or Somthing more menicing Like Sadistic scourge or Omega Scourge? If he had seen this before hand, he probably would have made Super Scourge's colors different to avoid the whole fan Submitted idea thing. In Sonic Universe news, Ian has uploaded a tease for the Sonic Universe #1 Cover: Looks like Blaze will be in SU #1 as well as Metal Sonic and Shadow. I edited the main post with this too.

I can't speak for Ian, but I'm guessing it's a retcon. Although, I suppose if Scourge used his worlds version of the chaos emeralds there might be an alt. affect. I still think it's a retcon. I'll have to go find it, but Ian stated somewhere that when they made that profile, they weren't sure if Scourge would be that popular or if he would be used again. It was just a placeholder for the original profile.

The purple's still an interesting change that's much appreciated. I would have commented it did look a touch girly with the pink boots to match, but the eyes more than make up for it, it looks like metal sonic. I also like the flames turning blue on his shoulders. Nice touch.

There really isn't anything consistent about what changes with any transformation. Super Sonic (and apparently Super Silver)'s eyes change, but Super Shadow's don't. Tails gets birds. Darkspine apparently loses his "clothing" and gets racing stripes. Blaze's outfit changes from dark purple to bright red.
