South Island - The SegaSonic & Sonic Team Forum! Welcome to South Island! Pull up a chair, grab a daquiri (non-alcoholic of course) and chill next to the old airplane for a while. ^_^ This is the spot for the gamers to come in and chat on the ORIGINAL Sonic. It's not just SegaSonic on discussion here, but Sonic's anime incarnations(Sonic X, the Movie/OVA, etc.) and general Sonic Team - Yuji Naka, Naoto Oshima, Phantasy Star Online, NiGHTS Into Dreams, and Samba! By the way - watch for falling Chu Chu's! ^^ |

Well, now that I have an official thread to keep my work going, let's get to this week's topic. Now I have gotten alot of feedback on questions I
hadn't even asked yet, but there are still holes that need patched up. It seems I have been convinced that 3-D is the way to go to bring Sonic back,
doesn't mean my mind is changed for good, but that was the strongest argument made. So if we are going to focus on 3-D, and the camera is the most
important thing, how should it be done? I know no camera is perfect in any game(think about it, I have to turn around slowly in an FPS game to shoot behind
me? why not have a quick turn button, or a button to shoot blindly behind your back?) but what does Sonic need? It needs to be fast of course, but does it
need a button to work, two, a stick? Or can it be an automated camera? What I'm looking for is an example from another game, or how you would design it
if you had the resources. As an example, someone suggested the MM Legends camera and it could work, but it would need a speed over haul! Good
posting!

What? No.
If you insist on continuing with this charade, at least have the decency to keep it in the same thread. Sega 02: "SONIC TEAM. The Sonic Team development studio was established to execute the wishes of Sega." Sega 03: "It was intended to enact the business strategy we had created." Sega 05: "However, it appears to have become dominated by a single, zealous individual." Sega 04: "Yes it has. We must take it back into our own dominion." Sega 01: "It is time. We must restore SONIC TEAM and the Sonic series to their proper role." |
