As for the scanned pages themselves, although they were brutally honest about some of Sega/Sonic Team's previous failures, the overall article just seemed too anti-Sega for my liking (which is unsurprising to me, considering the title of the magazine!).

I really appreciated that Sonic COULDN'T swim in the last one but instead had to use a life jacket to stay afloat.

Bark would be robbed if he didn't appear here, but Fang was robbed when he didn't appear in either Riders game, and with Fang being the top in that 'Old character' Facebook poll, and Bark being dead last (0% when I looked. Ironically, he was who I asked my friend to vote for in my place. I just like his design, and figured Fang, Mighty and Metal Knuckles would already be well catered for)... it's not gonna happen. He could at least be a referee like Espio, Charmy, Cream, etc were in the last Olympics.

If you couldn't care less, you are at the utmost point of not caring. You don't care at all, and thus it is impossible to care any less than you already do. However, if you could care less, you're essentially admitting to caring at least a little, as it is possible that the level of concern you currently feel could be lower.

I admit I just don't like Mario/Sonic hybrids. It's the worst of both worlds (and yes that is a reference to Hannah Montana).

But if there was any truth in the story that Fang was quietly dropped after being undesirable to parents, then the squeamishness about a Sonic character with a gun in a game that isn't Shadow isn't likely to go away any time soon, given the target demographic.

The MoFo's rules are this way, and they're still mandatory reading before posting...

Well, technically, SSB is a Mario/Sonic game, given you can play as both characters and Shadow, Tails, Knuckles and Silver make cameos.

Either way, given that I now own a Wii Balance Board. This may become a "Must Buy" title for me in it's mere nature of a fun Sonic game which lets us play Wii Fit skiing/Long jump without it being a 20 second mini-game.

Probably a 50 second one instead.

My feeling is the way adults perceive Fang and Shadow. Fang is a treasure hunter whereas Shadow is perceived as an anti-hero, an anti-Sonic perhaps. You can find redeeming characteristics on Shadow that Fang lacks. In short:

Shadow w/ guns -> ok because he can be hero
Nack w/guns -> no good because he steals money.

New screenshots and hands-on on the Wii and DS versions.

EDIT- Hello? Anyone here? Anyway IGN has a hands on the game as well.

Players can go on Adventure Tours with the DS game where they accept quests and encounter boss matches. SEGA will be unveiling these bosses at a later date, but did say we can probably guess what bad guys from the Mario and Sonic universes would make sense.

Sweet we get to fight some bosses too. I guess this mean Eggman won't be only Sonic villain in the game.

I hope the Wii has bosses also. But can Eggman and Bowser do it if they're playable?

Birdo? DK? Bowser Jr? Chaos? Metal Sonic? The Mario ones are rather likely to be playable though.

New scans from NP revealed that DS version will have an RPG mode where Mario ans Sonic explore the world and complete mini games and missions. Also each character will their own individuals move that will help them in the Winter Games. Sounds like the DS is the one I get.
