As I posted on Ian's forum, I'm abit suprised nobody else has spotted this. The two visible members of Mina's band appear to be none other then Sharps the rooster and Mach the rabbit, members of the scrapped Sonic band from Sonic 1. How's THAT for pulling a relic out of your hat?

Rad Red 21 is right. The New Eggman look came with the buildup to 75-which then followed with the SA adaption. Think Sonic got his makeover too in what...71?

I can't say I'm thrilled we're going into Mobius:20-25-30-FOREVER Years Later again so soon. This'll be the third or fourth time we're visiting that timeline in about 75 issues. It's not a future I'm particularly happy with. The original storyline was like nails against a chalkboard with its pacing; nothing seemed to happen for the longest time before the universe collapsed. Take Two took us directly to the final battle without much of a buildup on how things came to be that way. Shadow was King and now he had to not be King because ... well ... I actually don't remember the reason why him being King was a bad thing besides that Sonic was bawling over the lost of his children. Civilization seemed to be stable (albeit terrified of their immortal King) and secure under the iron fist of King Shadow.

Speaking of Shadow ... I'm taking bets that the crystallized former-King will thaw and this'll dissolve into a brawl.

Truthfully, I'm much more interested in Silver's distant future then any of the Freedom Fighter's immediate future.

Well Technically The Mobius 25/30YL stories Are Elseworlds tells. I mean there stories of things that may or may not happen. I mean Its pretty much a Given that Sonic&Sally as well as Knux& Julie-su will get married. But Tails & Mina doesn't make since at all, not to mention that theres no reason for shadow to go all Crazy reality-altering evil since He works for GUN now, as well as Starting to learn how to make Friends again (I speak of Hope, Rouge & Omega of course.) Plus in that Timeline Lien-da has a son. I mean I doubt theres an echinda Brave enough to ask here out on a date let alone marry here. (Except Fintivus, but I don't see that Guy settleing down & raising a famly considering he's a Genocidal nut. But who knows . LOL!) So I would'nt worry about this being the set in stone future of sonic & co. Just a possible one.

As I said on Ian's forum, I am not sure about revisiting Mobius 25 plus years later. We'll see how it goes. I have always seen the future stories as only possible, or I wouldn't be worried about if cerain things will happen. There were some things in the M25LY story that I didn't like, for example Sonic's attitude in the first part of the story, it was selfish of him complaining that he couldn't do what he wanted because of the responibities(which he chose to take on) of kingdom and family. Sonic should have appreicated that he had a wonderful wife and kids before he lost them, it's basically the life I think Sonic and Sally should have together(only mentioning it because it is apart of the issue). It may not be the most exciting life, but it is appealing. I hope Sonic finally learns the lesson to appreicate his family and friends for real in the comic. As for Tails and Mina, Archie has plenty of time to make them make sense as a couple if they decide to go though with pairing them for real.

I think the reason M25LY does have some popularity is because Lara-Su does have a fan base, and that there are those fans that, for the most part, like the future they have seen for the characters.

1. But Mina's 16 tails is only 12...that would makme Mina a shotakon! (a girl version of a lolicon) I think tails should be paired with someone closer to his age.

2. Yes Lara-Su is awsome. I think it would be interesting to see her in her own adventures every now & then.

And they could have just as easily come together at a later, more appropriate age, which is more likely the case.

That's exactly why I'm against revisiting this one again. This storyline is just one of more then a million possible futures. Not only that, but it's the future that's most likely to happen barring that nothing completely out of left field stops it. There isn't anything terribly exciting about what's transpired in this future thus far which is where the whole " kid-fic " discussion came from on the first page. Everyone settled down, got married, and had kids that look and act just like them! Big surprise. Big whoop.

Agreed. If people like Lara-Su for who she is she doesn't really need a mediocre cast of recolored kids to back her up.

Amy is (technically) the only girl close to his age in the immediate cast.

I bet she's probably off somewhere smashing Sonic Dolls with her hammer. LOL!! But yea, Its true amy is the only one close to tails in age, and although I would'nt mind seeing a future with those 2 together lord knows that can't happen cause then every Sonamy fan on earth would attack Archie comics. LOL I guess Ian Could Pair him with Marine. But Considering Marine is Basically the Meg of the Sonic universe in Ian's eyes I doubt that would happen either.

Oh well tails is a genius he can just build himself a wife. or I guess they could put Cream in the Archieverse..UGGG. You know what I think its better for Tails to stay a bachlor.

He can use Cream in the comics now. The writers couldn't for one reason or another before.

I imagine an older Cream would look exactly like Vanilla Rabbit, though. That would kind of tie in with the whole " generic recolor child " thing that I didn't want happening anymore then needed (which is never).

I speak from experience when I say: in your teens, it's a big gap - but the older you get, the more maturity starts to plateau and less the gaps in knowledge and experience matter, because there's more common ground.

But that's as far as this particular relationship discussion'll be going, people. Can we stick to the actual mechanics of the issue?

Come on guys, I hate the future stories as much as the next person, but don't you think you're overreacting a little? ^^;;
It's only four issues after all, and afterwards, we'll get the awesomeness that is a Knuckles story. I love how Ian portrays Knuckles, and I'm very much looking forward to it, and don't mind the wait.

I think they covered it very briefly during the Enerjak arch and then dropped it.

Took a look just to be sure. Dr. Finitevus confirmed Remmington was a descendant of Dimitiri in #183 (the backstory he explained his reasoning to Scourge). At least it isn't a question whether or not he's a part of the Legion. That was it, though.

Dr. Finitevus confirmed it, not Remmy. I wanna know if he knows. As far as I'm concerned, it can go either way; Knuckles the Enerjak could have wiped his entire memories of his time as a Dark Legion (and potential knowledge he gained of his origins from it) or Remington himself still possesses it, but has yet to reveal it to the public (that is, us, the readers). So in short, it's ambigious and it's grating on my nerves.
