Posts: 4369 (04/08/2009 12:58 PM) Free as the Wind Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	Yuku ate my entire summary (Screw you!!) but I'll post the highlights of it and post a full summary later. -The Freedom Fighters and Chaotix break in and have no issues getting through -The Legion's plan is to just fail (They do a good enough job at that) all thanks to Snively -Eggman rigs things up so that only Sonic can deal with him, at least until the others can join in later. -Snively is decked out in a tiny yellow cape and some cologne, prepared for the mysterious ally's appearance -Mysterious ally of Snively is not revealed at all -Eggman confronts Sonic in an Egg-Spider, which will get trashed thoroughly Timon: Boy, he looks blue... Pumbaa: I'd say brownish-gold Timon: No no no, I mean he's depressed Pumbaa: Oh...

I wonder if the Dark Legion / Egg Legion's going to just run for the hills the moment Eggman's defeated (most likely). Unless the device that activates their bombs goes when he does Snively and his new lady friend can force the Egg Legion to work for them too, right?

Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	i have a feeling that whoever regina turns out to be, the result will be fairly underwhelming. it's not the same as anonymous to me, she hasn't done ANYTHING yet. the only big surprise would be if M and snively hooked up way back when in some sort of strange quasi-incestral robot-human relationship. in which case i will laugh pretty hard lol ------------------ We are fighters "We are intelligent people who fight from the heart. Or Maybe Not. I don't think so. Anyway, I enjoyed this issue, it was a nice nostalgia trip. It mainly set the final stage for #200 than anything. I thought it had some good character interactions, and some development between characters. Snively is so pompous, he seems fairly certain that the next issue will bring about the fall of the Eggman Empire. Also, Lien-Da and Diitri referred to Snively as "sir", which makes me wonder if they'll end up following him when this is all over (whether it's there choice or not). I was a bit disappointed though, the cover made me sure this was the issue with the Regina reveal! I mean, don't get me wrong, I can wait one or two more months, but I was really expecting her to reveal herself. Just to inform you guys a bit more on the Egg Tarantula, I'll quote Dub from a post he made at Bumbleking: Dub wrote: Since the cat is out of the bag and it doesn't spoil anything I guess I can say this much. It is indeed called the Egg Tarantula. It's the same very unfinished device that Eggman was still roughly cobbling together in the backup of Sonic 194. But you could only make out the tiniest part of it there (IE the very top). I wasn't really sure what the final version would look like outside of a small basic picture I had so the one I drew looked different than the final design in terms of the legs and abdomen (plus it was all colored gray). Personally, I think Tracy's and Matt's final design of it came out to be really freakin' awesome. Enjoy the wait for 200! Also, many thanks to Kintobor over at Bumbleking, as she provided this pic of the Egg Tarantula: Some lighting issues with the scan, but there it is.

It looks like he gained 10 pounds. i have a feeling that whoever regina turns out to be, the result will be fairly underwhelming. I feel the same way. The effect would be doubled if it really does turn out to be The Iron Queen because it was predicted (and subsequently denied) more times then I could count. Things have turned out so well for everyone (except Eggman) in this arch so far that I'm simply dying for a twist right now. This battle is surprisingly one sided compared to Endgame. So much so that it was repeatedly said in this very issue. Took some thing to think about it after actually reading the issue last night (Snively looks ridiculously cute in his cape btw). This is the first time Snively and Regina are meeting face to face. Before not they mainly communicated with e-mails and more recently voice chat. Might it be possible that Regina isn't who we think she is or even if she isn't who Snively think she is? It's easy to fake a persona on the internet and just about as easy to fake a voice. It'd be a nice twist if Regina didn't exactly match up to Snively's expectations. Surely a little shrimp like Snively isn't exactly the spitting image of a desirable man himself. Maybe Regina's actually one of the animals Snively hates so much.

Perhaps this time around, their not taking any chances with him.

Although, things in this comic seem to show that he's destined to be by his Uncle's side. =P Maybe he and Regina will end up working for him again eventually.

Back when this whole Regina business started I thought Snively and his lady-friend were going to swoop in and take over for themselves or at least ensure victory for the enemy by driving the final nail in the coffin. Now it looks like Snively's just clearing the way for the Freedom Fighters to get rid of Eggman for them and plans on doing a more quiet takeover of the empire. He just helped Freedom Fighters do what they could've probably managed to do anyway without Snively's help seeing how extensively prepared they were for the mission. Actually, I thought that they were doing more than chatting in #197. I thought the main reason that monitor was turned away from us was because at least her face was on the screen. Now I remember. Could be. Could not be. Could be a fake video rendered in real time. ... okay. Okay. I just don't plain ol' want her to be The Iron Queen. This is me holding my ears and singing 'lalalalala' until the music stops.

I'm kind of convinced that Zonic can't do anything right. Whenever there's trouble he just calls -insert character- for help. He's like the guy Commissioner Gordon gets to light up the Batsignal. He feels he's an important part of the process because he can say " Hey, I'm the guy who lit up the Batsignal " but then he gets a pinkslip two weeks later and is replaced by yet another guy who can light up the Batsignal. Incidentally, it was Zector who brought the hedgehogs to No Zone for Zonic to make the arrest in 197. That falls under the same principle. Or it could be, the female version Robotnik, from the zone where Sally-Moon is from. Wouldn't that mean that Snively fell for his Aunt?

Also, Zonic has already confirmed that the Sol Zone and Moebius (as well as presumably the X-verse) were left open to Mobius for stability sake. They're all still under lock-down from other universes, but they are linked with one another.

Posts: 58 (04/13/2009 12:52 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	The extent of Zonic's part in the grand scheme of things seems to be making sure that Sonic and a few others in the Prime Universe continue to do what they would have kept doing anyway. For being the " Zone Cop " he doesn't seem to be capable of handling much of anything on his own. The Zone Cops seem to be losing the war against Eggman Nega so when and if permission is given for the proper use of Nega it looks like he'll be Sonic's problem, too. Zone cops are special, they have to travel to other zones. Sonic is special, too. Zonic said himself that it's Sonic who's eventually going to be the keeping the balance of all of the Multiverses. So what does that make Zonic? Disposable. It doesn't help that virtually every party is gaining access to the technology needed to hop zones whenever (Super Warp Rings, Star Posts, ect). If Zonic is also supposed to be used as a middleman to get whoever he needs to solve a problem to another zone he might not even be needed for transport. I'm basically saying that even though Zonic does technically have a purpose he's not necessarily needed. Like a " Thanks but no thanks " kind of thing.

He hasn't done much at all in this series besides call people in to do his job for him. Also, Zonic is supposed to make sure things go smoothly in all zones, not just the prime zone. Although the Prime Zone is his main area of interest, and he cares the most about that particular Universe.
